New Construction of Building #5139!!
Currently a new home building is being constructed for Outdoor Recreation.
This building is due west of the current location. Upon completion, this
building will house Equipment Rental, Hunting/Fishing Operations, a private
conference room, ladies' and mens' locker rooms, and management offices.
Currently the new location is being finished off with counter tops, fresh
paint, and flooring. We are waiting final word for installation of kitchen
appliances and electronic equipment. Upon completion and sign-off by
executive management, ODR personnel will move the appropriate operations and
building #5138 will become a general store. This move will likely take
place in August of 2010.
General Store Located at #5138
While waiting for final completion of the new ODR Facility, management has
been diligently working on turning the latest building into a new general
store. Currently, products carried are fishing poles, lures, red worms and
wigglers, crickets, and ice. Upon release, this general store will be
adding additional items such as edible crickets, Army logoed items, smoking
and grilling supplies, RV supplies, and lots more.
Outdoor Recreation programs provide opportunities to participate in, and enjoy, the great outdoors by offering outdoor activities and adventure!!
The emphasis in Outdoor Recreation is on skill development and opportunities to acquire lifetime leisure skills. Outdoor Recreation specialists are available to assist customers with various activities such as camping, canoeing, boating, fishing, hunting and so much more!!
Our Trap and Skeet Range is open for the entire Redstone Community daily from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. It's located at Outdoor Recreation, building 5132 Sportsman Drive.
