Story Time at the Library

Story time at the Family and MWR Post Library is every Wednesday, 10-10:30 a.m. After story time the children may stay for Music and Movement, and then to play in the children's area. Children of any age may come - the story time is especially geared for preschool-aged children. This is a casual drop-in small group experience, and the books are chosen to match the children present. The aim is to help children fall in love with books & libraries at a very young age.

Tales With Taka

Patrons over the age of five are invited to read to Taka, a certified Reading Education Assistance Dog. He will visit the library one Saturday per month. Time slots are available for 15-minute sessions between 10 am and noon. Children will have the opportunity to read one of Taka's books or select one of the books from the library. You may sign up at the front desk at the library or by calling 256-876-4741 during the library's business hours.

We look forward to assisting you with your library needs!

We hope to see you soon !!
