Just wanted to get some news out about next week.

WOW! What a 4th of July. The RED/White/Blue tournament was a great event. We had 16 teams turn out. Good golf, great weather and a record finishing time of under 4 hours; a feat we may never accomplish again. :} We have several events happening in the near future. The first of these is the 4-person best ball event with handicap. It is scheduled for the 26th of Jul. Next is the Garrison Scramble which is being played on August 9th. The final event in August is the Club Handicap Championship played on the 16/17th of August. Come out for this one and get your name on the wall. You must have an annual pass to play in the Club Handicap tournament. Flyers and sign-up sheets are attached or you may pick-up one at the Pro Shop counter.

A new event appears on the 24th of July; a Thursday night. It's entitled Foot Joy Members Night and will feature Foot Joy's entire line of golf shoes. Will Luckey, our Foot Joy representative, will be here with his Van of shoes. There will be discounts on the entire line. Also here that evening is former PGA Tour player Spike McCoy. He will share a few stories of life on the tour. Also appearing will be Charlie Plott, a current Sports Psychologist to members on the PGA Tour. Food and beverage will be provided. Come out, bring a friend and let's make this an annual event.

Larry asked me to pass on that the winter kill grow in on the 3rd, 4th and 6th hole goes well. He hopes the greens will be back to normal soon. Warrior front nine was cored early this week, and two weeks from now the back nine will be done.

Our last bit of information concerns tee times. We are presently working with our software company to bring us into the 21st Century with respect to how we do tee times. Our current system is "broke"! We hope to be with an online system by the 1st of August; at least that is the date we put the Bulls Eye on. Once we have the system ready we will provide details on how it will work. I know there are a lot of opinions on this out there but please gives us an opportunity to show you all that this does work and works well.

We are still looking for new participants for our Pro-Member tournaments. Sign-up in the Pro Shop.

Fairways and Greens!! - Jon
