Current Classes

Introduction to Woodworking - $30.00, 10, 21 or 28 July 2008, 5:30 - 9:30 pm: This is our continuously offered woodshop certification class. During this one evening class you will learn how to safely use both hand and power tools while constructing a very useful step stool. Upon completion of this class you will receive a woodshop certification card that will be honored at DOD installations.

Pen & Pencil Set/ An Introduction to Lathe Turning - $48.00, Pt. I 14 July & Pt. II 15 July 2008, 5:30-9:30 pm: This fun, two-part class, produces a matching pen and pencil set that makes a great gift or keepsake. No prior woodworking experience or Certification Card Required. This class is a pre-requisite for future advanced lathe turning classes.

Small Elegant Box - $123.00, Part I 29 July 2008 & Part II 31 July 2008 6:00 - 9:00 pm: A contributing author to the prestigious magazine "Fine Woodworking", the ins t! ructor chose this wooden box to give the beginning woodworker an opportunity to perfect their woodworking skills with both machine and hand tools.

Parent/Child Shaker Coat and Hat Rack - $35.00, 17 July 2008 10:00-4:00 pm: Introduce your child for the first time or further their budding interest in woodworking by making this very functional coat and hat rack. It is perfect for displaying trophies, hanging gloves, hats, ballet slippers or various other items. Once completed it can be taken home and stained or painted for a young person's room. Papa John's pizza (downtown branch) and a beverage will be provided. Designed for children ages - 10-16

Parent/Child Stained Glass Sun Catcher- $28.00, 18 July, 9:00-2:00 pm Come learn simple stained glass techniques while you and your child share in making a beautiful hummingbird to hang in your favorite window!
