Who can use all of these
GREAT MWR Services?
The short answer is ANY member of "Team Redstone"
The detailed list specifically includes:
- Active Duty Military members and their Immediate Family
- Reserve Component Military and their Immediate Family
- National Guard Military and their Immediate Family
- Retired Military and their Immediate Family
- Any DOD civilian employees and their Immediate Family
- Federal Government employees (i.e. NASA, FBI, USDA, Treasury Dept, etc. ) who work on Redstone Arsenal. Their immediate Family Members are MWR eligible patrons ONLY when the family holds current, valid MWR Membership in one of the MWR Membership Programs (i.e. Officers Club, Flying, Golf, SDC, Bingo, etc.) or is CYS (child and youth services) registered. - U.S. DOD APF or NAF civilian employees and retired civilian employees and their Immediate Families
- Contractors who are working on contract work for AMCOM, Marshall Space Flight Center, NASA or any Redstone Arsenal federal government agencies. Based on capacity considerations, contract employees must have a current, valid MWR membership card to patronize certain facilities (fitness centers, library, flying activity, and outdoor pools). Also, if contract employees join an MWR membership program, then family members may use MWR facilities as well by simply showing their "MWR Membership Card" for access.
- All U.S. Army Veterans. It doesn't matter whether you served 2 years or 20 years. All Veterans are eligible to join the Veteran Membership Program. Spouses can be included in membership for an additional fee. Bring up to 3 guest with you when you visit any MWR facility. Eligibility based on copy of DD-214 depicting a Honorable Discharge and background check.

ALSO:
Every eligible patron of MWR may bring a non-eligible user "guest" with them at any time, but each facility has specific guest guidelines, based on capacity. If you have specific guest policy questions, just call the MWR facility you plan on visiting with your guest first.
Facilities with exceptions are:
Recreation Center - restricted to Military and Retired Military and their families only (capacity and socialization restrictions for soldiers-in-training).
Vet Clinic - a non-MWR supplemental NAF mission service, also is restricted to Military and Retired Military and their families only.
