BOSS identifies well-being issues and concerns by recommending improvements through the chain of command. BOSS also encourages and assists single soldiers of the process of identifying and planning recreational and leisure activities. Additionally BOSS gives single soldiers the opportunity to participate in projects and fund raisers to help support the BOSS mission and make a contribution to their respective communities. The backbone of a stellar and unified BOSS program is single soldiers with strong senior military and MWR guidance.
