Necessary paperwork for our sporting programs

All registration takes place at CYSS Central Enrollment, Building 1500, Weeden Mountain Road. For registration information call 876-3704. For program information call 313-3699.

Seasonal team sports leagues are offered for children 5 - 18 years of age. Fees for team sports vary depending on sport and include uniform. Team sports are offered in partnership with the City of Huntsville Recreation Services. All team sports require a sports physical at time of registration.

1. Youth Baseball is for ages 5-12. Registration takes place in February with practices beginning in March. Games are played in May and June.
2. Youth Soccer is for ages 5-13. Registration takes place in July with practices beginning in August. Games are played in September and October.
3. Youth Basketball is for ages 5-18. Registration takes place in October with practices beginning in November. Games are played in January and February.
4. NFL Flag Football is for ages 5-17. Registration taks place in March with practices beginning in April. Games are played in May & June.

Various individual sports are offered throughout the year. These may include bowling, tennis, racquetball and golf.

Redstone Arsenal Youth Sports and Fitness offers the Start Smart Sports Development Program which is a proven instructional program that prepares children (ages 3-7) for the world of organized sports without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Parents work together with their children in a supportive environment to learn all of the basic skills...throwing, catching, kicking, and batting. Sports offered are baseball, soccer, basketball, flag football and golf. Check current program offering s for dates and times.

Held once a week for 6 weeks, and each week the exercises become increasingly more difficult as the class progresses and children show improvement.

Volunteer coaches are always needed and are greatly appreciated. If interested, please fill out the below paperwork and return to CER (Central Enrollment Office) at 1500 Weeden Mountain Road.
