Army Community Service Programs

Operating Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The mission of Army Community Service(ACS) is to facilitate the commander's ability to provide comprehensive services that support readiness of Soldiers, civilian employees and their families by leveraging technology and resources, eliminate duplication in service delivery and adapting service to the unique needs of their installation.

ACS programs improve the quality of life for soldiers and their families. The programs assists the Redstone Arsenal community by developing and providing services and educational programs to meet community needs. Classes include Army Family Team Building, parenting, stress management, résumé' writing and developing interview skills, financial classes, and mobilization/Family Readiness Group briefings. Self paced computer classes are also available.

Volunteers are always welcome to assist with day-to-day operations. or to participate in numerous special events.

Child and Youth Service Programs

Objectives of the Child and Youth Services Programs :

  1. Support readiness by reducing lost duty time due to conflict between parental responsibilities and unit mission requirements.
  2. Support parental child-rearing responsibilities by providing developmentally appropriate quality care options for children.
  3. Support service families in their effort to attain economic self-sufficiency by providing accessible and affordable child care for working parents.
