About Us

Better Opportunity for Single Soldiers (Boss) is an organization that single soldiers can join to enhance their well being. Opportunity to contribute to community service, and assist in the planning and execution of their own recreation and leisure events. Boss is part of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR). Although the program is focused on single soldiers, it is open to Marines, Navy, Airman, Reserve, National Guard, Cost Guard, unaccompanied Service members, Foreign Service members, Department of Defense personnel, and any other guests. Boss programs focus on these three Core Components: Well Being, Recreation & Leisure, and Community Service.

Mission Statement

To support the overall quality of life for single and unaccompanied soldiers by encouraging and helping soldiers in identifying, planning, organizing, and conducting leisure and recreational activities of their preference.

BOSS provides an opportunity for soldiers to participate in and contribute to the local community, as well as identify issues and provide a mechanism to recommend improvements through the chain of command.
